Does automation lead to autonomy

Not directly, but it’s the foundation.

Automation = doing tasks.

Autonomy = deciding how to do them.

Robots that suture perfectly (automation) → can learn from data → and one day adapt on the fly (autonomy).

Automation is the bridge. Autonomy is the leap.
